As my frustration levels began to mount this weekend while trying to figure out iMovie / voice over for my presentation, I ran across this tutorial. It is wonderful if you have a mac! I also ended up subscribing to Curt's site to find more tutorials on how to do things in my mac. I know that it is not a TeacherTube video so I will post another but I was excited and wanted to share the cool things I found!

My kids LOVE this video. It's a fun memorable way to help them remember the order of operations as we get ready for 6th grade Math. Don't you just love the Granny?!
I'm very exctied about embedding a video widget on a Wiki. This might be a way for my kids to safely view the videos I want them to watch without getting BLOCKED! ;)

This is a cute video to help students remember the parts of speech. I like it because it puts it to music and they laugh.

This video does a nice job of introducing the different types of conic sections and would be a good introduction for students to watch before we start talking abou the topic in class.

I chose this video because I want to use it with my classes to emphasize how easy it is to miss things when you are looking for something in particular. It will show them how easy it is to miss the details!

This video is a fun way to teach Spanish students about agreement between nouns and adjectives. It addresses the general topic in a fun and catchy way. Great for any age beginning Spanish students.

Becky Bollinger. I used this video just this past month for my unit on Jonathan Swift and satire. It's a parody of a Backstreet Boys song, and it's satire on society's overconsumption of stuff. The kids think it's pretty funny.
Mike Moore: I show this video at the end of our section on Photosynthesis and Respiration, and the kids really get a kick out of it. It's a parody of Katy Perry's "California Girls", with the words changed. But it does a good job reviewing the terms and relationships between photosynthesis and respiration, and I still catch the kids humming the tune and singing some of the words. Worked great with my special ed students also.
Melanie Christopher -- This is a video that teaches about the water cycle through rap using the music from the song "Jump Jump". I used this video for the first time this year to teach/review the water cycle with my fourth graders before delving into a study on undergound water and pollution. The kids really enjoyed and connected to this video. They can still tell you how the water cycle works and how the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico can effect us here in Pennsylvania even though its several months since we completed that unit lesson.
Melanie Christopher -- This is a video I found on TeacherTube that uses a puppet to set forth a message of tolerance. Although it uses puppets, I think my fourth graders would still like it. I think this might be a great opener for a class meeting!
